The construction is said to have taken 22 years to complete, starting from 1631, with over 20,000 craftsmen working round the clock. Agra Fort: Construction of the massive red sandstone Agra Fort on the bank of Yamuna River was begun by Emperor Akbar in 1565 and it was to be predominantly a military structure until his grandson, Shah Jahan, added more palatial accommodations. Stop en route at Fatehpur Sikri for a guided tour of this ancient capital. Fatehpur Sikri: The deserted capital of Emperor Akbar approximately 35 km outside Agra. It is situated on a dry lakebed in a somewhat arid landscape, surrounded by barren hills surmounted by forts and crenelated walls. Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II, who was careful to cultivate good favor with the ruling Mughals, he laid out the city with rectangular blocks according to ancient Hindu architecture. After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken for a guided sightseeing tour of Jaipur and Amber. Tour includes visits to the following places of interest: Hawa mahal (Palace of winds): Built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799, the HawaMahal is one of Jaipur’s major landmarks, the facade of which is all pink windows and filigree screens. It was originally built to enable ladies of the royal household to watch the everyday life and processions of the city. City Palace: It is still the home of the former royalty H.H Bhawani Singh Ji of Jaipur housing an extensive collection of art, carpets, and old weapons. Jantar Mantar (Observatory): It was built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1728. At first glance, Jantar Mantar appears to be a curious collection of sculptures but in fact, each construction has a specific purpose such as measuring the positions of stars, altitudes, and azimuths and calculating eclipses. The most striking instrument is the sundial with its 27-meter high gnomon. The shadow this casts moves up to 4 meters an hour. Amber Fort: The Amber Fort is situated 11 km away from Jaipur. Amber was once the ancient capital of Jaipur state. The Fort is a superb example of Rajput architecture, tunningly situated on a hillside and overlooking a lake, which reflects its terraces and ramparts. Morning drive to Udaipur- an oasis in the desert state of Rajasthan en route visiting Pushkar. Pushkar boasts temples, though few are as ancient as you might expect at such an important pilgrimage site since many were deserted by Aurangzeb and subsequently rebuilt. The most famous is the Brahma Temple, said to be one of the few temples in the world dedicated to this deity. It's marked by a red spire, and over the entrance gateway is the Hans, or goose symbol, of Brahma, who is said to have personally chosen Pushkar as its site. Arrive Udaipur and transfer to the hotel. Night stay in Udaipur.

Morning city sight seeing tour of Udaipur. The city is built in 1559 A.D. by Maharaja Udai Singh and has been described as the most romantic spot on the continent of India by Col. James Todd. Visit the City Palace museum, the Jagdish temple, Sahelion Ki Bari (Queen’s resort for their friends) BhartiyaLok Kala Mandir (Folk art museum) and the Pratap Memorial. After breakfast drive to Jodhpur on route visit Ranakpur Jain Temple. Ranakpur is one of the five holy places of the Jain community. These temples were built in the 15th century AD during the reign of Rana Kumbha and are enclosed within a wall. The basement is of 48, 000 sq. feet area that covers the whole complex. There are four subsidiary shrines, twenty-four pillared halls, and eligibly domes supported by over four hundred columns. Continue to drive to Jodhpur on arrival transfer to hotel. After a relaxed breakfast proceeds for a city sightseeing tour of Jodhpur. Jodhpur - the stronghold of the fierce Rathore clan, was founded in 1459 by Prince Jodha. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill. Within the fort, visit MotiMahal and hoolMahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble cenotaph, built-in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II around 1899, and Umaid Public gardens. Night stay in Jodhpur.

The rich merchant inspired by the classic style of the royals, constructed huge mansions (Havelis) adjacent to each other in the nature of medieval culture and profusely decorated walls and ceilings and intricately carved outdoors and interiors. In the afternoon, visit the Khuri Sand Dunes and the typical Rajasthani Desert Village. Morning after lavish breakfast check out and drive to Bikaner. Bikaner is a desert town in the middle of the Thar Desert. The town is known for its rich Rajput culture and has some of the most beautiful palaces and richly sculptured temples of red and yellow sand stones. Tourists from all across visit Bikaner to get a feel of the desert and the culture and lifestyle of the people here. Arrive and check in to the hotel. Bikaner City is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th-century fort housing old palaces, temples, and mosques. Also visit Lallgarh Palace, the museum, BhandaSagar Jain, Deshnoke Rat temple, and The Camel’s Breeding Farm. Night stay in Bikaner.

Morning drive to Mandawa, on arrival transfer to the hotel. Later visit the painted havelies of the Dundlod town and surrounding areas of the Mandawa, Mandawa founded in 1755 by Thakur Nawal Singh and still the home of his descendants, has beautiful frescoes, Havelis and mansions. Mandawa castle one of the finest castles of Rajasthan is now a hotel and house of collection of armories, costumes of ancestors, canons from 1820 ancient coins, numismatic collection, and many other interesting items, preserved in a museum.
